Founded in 1971, the International Imperial Court of Long Beach, Inc. (IICLB; also known as the Long Beach Imperial Court) is the longest-running LGBTQ non-profit in the greater Long Beach Metro area.
Aside from raising tens of thousands of dollars each year, the IICLB is a constant force in the community through volunteerism and advocacy. Each year the IICLB collects food donations for the Long Beach AIDS Food Store, sings Christmas carols to hospice patients, and raises awareness on issues related to LGBTQ Veterans, Autism, and Williams Syndrome to name a few.
The IICLB is one of nearly 70 chapters of the International Imperial Court System that spans three countries; the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico. Every chapter in the Imperial Court System is led by an Empress, an Emperor, or an Emprex. Each reign is typically led by two monarchs. Elected by members of the communities they serve, these individuals play a critical role in the organization and serve as the Fundraising chairs for the upcoming year.
*The IICLB represents the cities of Artesia, Bellflower, Carson, Cerritos, Compton, Downey, Gardena, Lakewood, Lomita, Long Beach, Lynwood, Paramount, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Signal Hill, and the communities of Harbor City, San Pedro, and Wilmington.
